Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company to Perform
A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Howmet Playhouse

       The Grand Haven based Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company will kick off its first ever year-
round season with a production of Shakespeare’s
A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  The production will
play the Howmet Playhouse in Whitehall at 7:30 p.m. on February 14, 15, 22, and 23.  The Howmet
Playhouse is located at 304 South Mears in Whitehall.  Tickets to these performances are $14
general admission, and $10 for students.

       A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of Shakespeare’s most loved comedies, and involves
confused lovers, warring fairies, and a roving band of amateur actors who all cross paths in the
woods outside of Athens.  The cast of Pigeon Creek’s production includes Evin Anderson, Ian
Borden, Erin Cooke, Jay Harnish, Heather Folkvord, Josh King, Kelly Knoll, Scott Lange, Katherine
Mayberry, Lauryn Miceli, Brie Roper, and Chris S. Teller.

       Joining Pigeon Creek as the director of
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is Detroit native Heidi G.
Grumelot.  Grumelot has recently worked as an assistant director at the American Shakespeare
Center is Staunton, Virginia, and will travel to New York following her stint with Pigeon Creek.  In New
York, she will take on a job as an intern in the casting department of the Public Theatre.

       The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company’s 2008 season will continue with a production of
Macbeth in April and May, followed by productions of Richard III, As You Like It, and Twelfth Night
later in the year.  All of these productions will hold performance dates at the Howmet Playhouse, as
well as various other Michigan venues.
