the Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company

Pigeon Creek Executive Director Katherine Mayberry
explained that Bard on the Run is an experiment with
the rehearsal processes of Shakespeare’s own time
period.
“Shakespeare’s acting companies didn’t have the
lengthy rehearsal periods that we do in modern
theatrical productions. The actors sometimes learned
and performed new plays in the course of 5 or 6 days.”
Our next "Bard on the Run" features two completely
unrehearsed performances of Shakepeare's A
Midsummer Night's Dream. All performances take
place at the Dog Story Theater.
NOTE: Due to an actor's accident, the accompanying
production of Tis Pity She's a Whore has been
cancelled. The actor is currently recovering just fine and
we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
PERFORMANCE DATES AND PRICES:
Dates: February 17th and 18th.
Tickets: $15 Adults / $10 Students and Seniors
(Tickets can be reserved in advance through the Dog
Story Theater website. Times and shows are listed
below.)
All ticket revenue from this Bard on the Run will go to
fund Pigeon Creek’s 2012 summer productions of
Love's Labours Lost and Antony and Cleopatra. .
