DIRECTING OPPORTUNITIES
The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company is
accepting applications for directors for its 2012
productions of Love’s Labour’s Lost and All’s Well
That Ends Well.
Ideal candidates will have significant directing
experience, including directing Shakespearean and/or
other Early Modern Plays. Directors should have a
working knowledge of the use of Original Practices in
the production of Shakespeare’s plays.
Love’s Labour’s Lost begins rehearsals May 7,
2012, and All’s Well That Ends Well begins
rehearsals October 29, 2012. Each production has a
six week rehearsal period. Applicants should apply to
direct one play or the other.

Katherine Mayberry, Executive Director, at
katherine@pcshakespeare.com by March 31, 2012.
Your cover letter should indicate which of the two
plays you wish to apply to direct, a description of your
experience with Shakespeare and Original Practices
productions, and a description of how you would take
into account the fact that the production must tour to
multiple venues in your direction.
STAGE MANAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company is
accepting applications for rehearsal stage managers
for its productions of Love’s Labour’s Lost, Antony
and Cleopatra, and All’s Well That Ends Well.
Love’s Labour’s Lost begins rehearsals on May 7,
Antony and Cleopatra on June 18, and All’s Well
That Ends Well on October 29. Each production has
a rehearsal period of six weeks.
Rehearsal stage management duties include keeping
track of actor attendance and tardiness, keeping
rehearsal on schedule, keeping blocking notes,
keeping prop/costume/set notes, sitting on book
during rehearsal, keeping line notes, writing and
distributing rehearsal reports, and maintaining contact
with cast members. Ideal candidates will have
significant stage management experience.

cover letter should indicate which of the three
productions you wish to apply for, and should also
describe your previous stage management
experience.
