Repertory Company Members 2008 A Midsummer Night's Dream

Evin Anderson is currently a student at Grand Valley
State University studying Theatre and Marketing. He
has recently appeared in the Grand Valley Shakespeare
Festival production of Cymbeline, and in William Borden’
s Turtle Island Blues. This is his first production with
the Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company.
Ian Borden is a professor of Theatre at Grand Valley
State University. At GVSU, he has directed recent
productions of Shakespeare’s Cymbeline, Goldoni’s The
Servant of Two Masters, and The Rocky Horror
Show. He holds an MFA in acting from the University of
Missouri, Kansas City, and is currently completing his
PhD. research and writing for the fulfillment of his
degree from Florida State University., where he
previously directed a production of Midsummer. This is
his first production with the Pigeon Creek Shakespeare
Company
Erin Cooke is a current student at Grand Valley State
University. A native of Grand Haven, Michigan, she has
appeared in multiple productions for West Michigan
Christian High School and Muskegon Civic Theatre, as
well as performing with the Spotlight Dance Academy.
She is making her debut with Pigeon Creek in this
production.
Heather Folkvord is an alumna of Grand Valley State
University, where she appeared in multiple Shakespeare
Festival productions, including playing Portia in The
Merchant of Venice. Heather has studied
Shakespearean acting with the London Theatre
Exchange. She currently resides in Grand Rapids and
has appeared with such companies as Actor’s Theatre,
Grand Rapids Civic Theatre, and the Heritage Theatre
Group. She recently returned to Grand Valley as a guest
artist in the 2007 Shakespeare Festival. This is Heather’
s first production with Pigeon Creek.
Heidi G. Grumelot recently completed a stint as the
Assistant Director and Stage Manager for Loves
Labour's Lost and Antony and Cleopatra at the
American Shakespeare Center in Staunton, Virginia.
Other credits for the ASC include assistant direction of A
Christmas Carol in 2005 and direction of Bring 'em
Back Alive Staged Reading of Hengist: The King of
Kent or Mayor of Queensboro. Other credits include,
her MFA Thesis Production of Loves Labour's Lost for
The Mary Baldwin College M.Litt/MFA Program, The
Tempest for Stuart Hall Middle School, and The Jungle
Book for Yancey Elementary School. After opening A
Midsummer Night’s Dream with Pigeon Creek
Shakespeare Company, Heidi will be moving to New York
City to work in the casting department of The Public
Theater, home of the famous Shakespeare in the Park.
Jay Harnish is a founding member of the Pigeon Creek
Shakespeare Company, for which he has previously
played Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He has
also appeared in productions of Shakespeare’s plays with
the Grand Valley Shakespeare Festival and the Heritage
Theatre Group in Grand Rapids, playing such roles as
Don John in Much Ado About Nothing. Jay currently
serves as an administrator of the Dog Story Theatre in
Grand Rapids, which he recently helped to found.
Josh King is currently a student at Grand Valley State
University, where he studies Theatre. He recently
appeared in the Grand Valley Shakespeare Festival
production of Cymbeline as Cloten, and during his time
at GVSU has played roles in such productions as Love’s
Labour’s Lost and The Rocky Horror Show. This is his
first production with the Pigeon Creek Shakespeare
Company.
Kelly Knoll has performed with the Pigeon Creek
Shakespeare Company in several productions, including
playing the Clown and Mamillius in last summer’s
production of The Winter’s Tale. She is a graduate of
Grand Valley State University, where she appeared
onstage in such plays as Love’s Labour’s Lost, The
Rocky Horror Show, and Big Love. She has also worked
in the costume shops of both GVSU and the Hope
Summer Repertory Theatre.
Scott Lange is an alumnus of Grand Valley State
University, where he appeared in several Shakespeare
Festival productions, including playing Angelo in
Measure for Measure. During his time at GVSU, Scott
also studied with the London Theatre Exchange. He has
also appeared with AP Theatricals in Holland, Michigan,
Golden Duck Productions in Staunton, Virginia, and in
several productions for the Master of Fine Arts program
at the American Shakespeare Center’s Blackfriars
Playhouse.
Katherine Mayberry is a founding member of Pigeon
Creek , for which she has played such roles as Rosalind
in As You Like It. She has appeared with many
Michigan theatres and has studied Shakespearean
acting with the London Theatre Exchange and the
London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. She
recently completed an MFA in Shakespeare and
Renaissance Literature in Performance, acting
emphasis, at Mary Baldwin College in Partnership with
the American Shakespeare Center. She currently works
as an adjunct professor of Theatre and English at Grand
Valley State University.
Lauryn Miceli is a graduate of Grand Valley State
University, where she studied Theatre and
Communications and worked frequently both onstage
and backstage. She has appeared in several productions
with Pigeon Creek, including playing Helena in a
previous production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream,
and most recently as Perdita in 2007’s The Winter’s
Tale.
Brie Roper graduated from Grand Valley State
University, where she studied Music. At GVSU, she
appeared in such productions as Mother Courage and
her Children and Guys and Dolls. She has also
appeared onstage with Opera Grand Rapids and Stage-M
Theatre. This is her first production with the Pigeon
Creek Shakespeare Company.
Chris S. Teller has appeared in multiple roles for Pigeon
Creek, including Benedick in Much Ado About
Nothing. He is an alumnus of Grand Valley State
University, where he appeared in such productions as
The Tempest, Angels in America, and Mother
Courage and Her Children. Chris has also studied
with the London Theatre Exchange, and recently
returned to GVSU to pursue his teacher certification.
