Meet The Cast Of Henry VI

Hello! I’m excited to be writing my first Pigeon Creek blog for you! Henry VI is actually my second show with Pigeon Creek, with my first show being The Night of the Burning Pestle in February 2018.

I am originally from the East Side of Michigan, with my parents relocating to Port Huron a few years ago and currently living only a few short minutes away from beautiful Lake Huron and the Blue Water Bridge. I left the East Side for the Grand Rapids area in 2011 to pursue a degree in film at Grand Valley State University. That film major turned into an additional theatre minor, then eventually became a double. I graduated from GVSU in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in both film and theatre.

I was active in the theatre scene at Grand Valley my last couple years there, and since then I’ve performed with Heritage Theatre Group, Shadblow Theatre, Comedy Outlet Mondays, and now Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company. This will be my third year working with Heritage, and later this summer I’m set to play Samuel Byck in Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins which I am extremely looking forward to. One of my favorite roles has been being in the chorus for COM’s production of The Nightman Cometh, a musical that originated from the show It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Always Sunny is one of my favorite shows, so having the opportunity to act in that was a huge honor for me.

In my free time, I enjoy gaming and going to the gym, as well as finding time to hang out with friends. I’ve been gaming for close to my whole life (my family has pictures of me at three-years-old holding a controller) and on nights I don’t have rehearsal I like to stream live on Twitch. I’m trying to make going to the gym a staple in my life as well. I’ve dealt with a couple types of knee and hip problems over the course of my life, particularly in childhood, so I haven’t been in the best of shape. I used to take martial arts and fencing for several years, and I hope to resume doing something in that vein once Assassins ends later this summer. I also hope to spend more time working toward a future career in radio, with one of my goals being to become an on-air host.

I hope you’ve enjoyed learning a little more about me! It’s been a huge honor to be cast in Henry VI and to have the privilege to work on this show. I can’t wait to bring the finished product to you!
